  • The Research Station invites all colleagues to ARE WE / WE ARE RESEARCH on Thursday June 9, 10.00-17.00 hrs at the Research Station.

    A day of conversations on doing research at WdKA, spotlighting research lecturers’ projects from the practices in an open and interactive format. A full and diverse program to open discussion about artistic research and its forms. The best opportunity to get together and exchange knowledge and work in progress with your peers!

    Expect conversations around the body, perception and obfuscation, a performative lunch break, and a talk show.

    Starting with coffee at 10.00 and wrapping up the day with drinks.

    Programme:

    10.00 – welcome with coffee and tea

    10.30 – Social Practices: Seecum Cheung, Sumia Jaama, Kari Robertson, and Clara Balaguer

    12.00 – Honours Programme: Sami Hammana

    12.30 – lunch, including a performative break with Weronika Zielińska-Klein (Autonomous Practices)

    13.30 – Autonomous Practices: Catherine Somzé, Danae Tapia, and reinaart vanhoe (online)

    14.30 – coffee break

    15.00 – Commercial Practices: ginger coons, Ryan Pescatore Frisk, Michelle Kasprzak, and Catelijne van Middelkoop

    16.00 – plenary discussion – Skye Maule-O’Brien and Miriam Rasch

    16.30 – closing and drinks
