WDKA RESEARCH FESTIVAL | MAKING (IN) THE UNFORESEEN JANUARY 25 – 27, 2022

From January 25 until and including 27 January 2023, Willem de Kooning Academy will host the Research Festival Making (in) the Unforeseen in Rotterdam.

What do you see when you look ahead? The future may seem to have already arrived, but it is something that we make together, within the limitations of the present and the given. That takes time, care, and attention – and making space for the unforeseen.

The research being done at WdKA is interdisciplinary and practice based. It foregrounds experiments in making and new materials, the use of creative and self-designed methods, and the connection to education and collaborative practices.
