Florian Cramer 官無名 (1969, he/him), professor/reader (Dutch: lector) in 21st Century Visual Culture/Autonomous Practices at Willem de Kooning Academy, Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Outside WdKA, I have been a board member of De Player/De Layer, a space for sound/performance art, PrintRoom, a space for artists’ books and publishing, and (A)WAKE, an initiative “for the in-between voices with multiple cultural backgrounds”. Since the 1980s, I have been involved in various DIY communities and initiatives. I am a (not very active) member of the artist-run analog filmmaking lab filmwerkplaats, a 後勤慢遞 LIGHT LOGISTICS courier, a tutor in the BananSkole, and I run the weekly radio program “Mixed Business” on Radio WORM.

Studied Literature and Art History at Freie Universität Berlin, Universität Konstanz and University of Massachusetts at Amherst, M.A. in Comparative Literature, Art History and Modern German Philology (1998, FU Berlin), Dr. phil. in Comparative Literature (2006, FU Berlin); Cultural Studies diploma from (the self-organized) Wissenschaftsakademie Berlin 2003; Dutch hospitality business/waiter diploma SHV 2010.
