Bio
Dr. Michelle Kasprzak is an established contributor to the field of digital culture as an educator, curator, writer, and artist. Michelle has curated exhibitions and public programs for organizations such as Future Flux Festival, V2_ Institute for Unstable Media, the Dutch Electronic Art Festival, ZERO1 Biennial, and others.
At WdKA, she is a postdoctoral researcher for two projects: examining the role of art and design in science communication (PRESAGE, NWO-funded project); and analysing the design and construction of landscape to create renewed ecosystems (Painting with Bulldozers, Hogeschool Rotterdam postdoc voucher). She also participates as a co-investigator in the Artistic Process Futures and AI project initiated by researchers at Tilburg University. She has led curriculum development and taught in the Futures & Presence minor for the past 5 years. In 2024, Michelle is an invited seminar leader for the Digital Art department at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna, Austria. You can download her teaching portfolio here.
Michelle’s most recent published writing is in the From Commons to NFTs anthology published on Aksioma Press. Her work has been supported by the Creative Industries Fund NL, Canada Council for the Arts, EASST Fund, and other funders.
