Michelle Kasprzak

Bio

Dr. Michelle Kasprzak is an established contributor to the field of digital culture as an educator, curator, writer, and artist. Michelle has curated exhibitions and public programs for organizations such as Future Flux Festival, V2_ Institute for Unstable Media, the Dutch Electronic Art Festival, ZERO1 Biennial, and others.

At WdKA, she is a postdoctoral researcher for two projects: examining the role of art and design in science communication (PRESAGE, NWO-funded project); and analysing the design and construction of landscape to create renewed ecosystems (Painting with Bulldozers, Hogeschool Rotterdam postdoc voucher). She is a former Research Lecturer in Commercial Practices and has led and taught in the Futures & Presence minor for the past 5 years.

Michelle’s most recent published writing is in the From Commons to NFTs anthology published on Aksioma Press, and she is currently developing NFT Dump, a research platform about non-fungible tokens, supported by the Creative Industries Fund NL. She also participates as a co-investigator in the Artistic Process Futures and AI project initiated by researchers at Tilburg University (P.I. Dr. Simone Ashby).
